In today’s world of forced log ins, bloat and AI inside the most used desktop OS, many users (even casual ones) have slowly started to look into alternatives so they could use their computers as they always have up to this point.

In the same group are gamers who are slowly transitioning to distributions like Ubuntu, Mint, Bazzite, and others due to significant advances in gaming performance and compatibility over the past 5 to 10 years.

As Linux gaming gains attention, one question constantly surfaces in gaming communities: “Are there any noticeable performance differences between Windows and many distributions of Linux?”
